African American certified firms earn just 48 cents for every dollar they might be expected to receive based on their availability to bid on prime contracts and subcontracts awarded in Denver.
Black businesses are ready willing and able to provide valuable products and services to the marketplace. Without access to profitable opportunities, Black businesses continue to lag behind their counterparts. That lack of access and opportunities directly contributes to smaller revenues, employees and ultimately a broader wealth gap.
As an organization on the frontlines of Black-owned businesses, we’re here
to collaborate with local officials and the private sector in further empowering
businesses to participate in local contracting and procurement opportunities.
As procurement officers, corporate executives and leaders, and project managers, we recognize your goal to partner with and award contracts and procurement opportunities to businesses you can trust to get the work done on time and on budget.
And AATA shares that same sentiment. You can count on us to source highly talented, skilled and dependable black-owned businesses to handle projects on time and on budget.
Moreover, national studies demonstrate partnering with African American business owners creates a heterogenous synergy that produces innovation and improved performance not inherent in homogenous collaborations.
With AATA by your side, you’ll never again have to worry about finding qualified black-owned businesses to partner with.
The typical Black family has just 1/10 the wealth of the typical white one. Unfortunately, wealth disparities between Black and white Americans is growing.
Left unchecked, these disparities will continue to constrain the U.S. economy, not just the Black community. In fact, the McKenzie & Company report reveals that the U.S. economy is set to lose up to $1.5 trillion if the racial wealth gap does not narrow by 2028.
At AATA, we’re committed to providing the educational resources and training, lucrative trade and commerce opportunities, unwavering community support and skills-enhancing education to shrink the racial wealth gap and promote economic stability locally and throughout the United States.
Revitalizing the Black community and building an infrastructure rooted in racial equity that drives sustainable economic growth.
